Embracing the Self

In my artistic journey, the concept of "self" and self-awareness takes center stage. I see art as a powerful means of self-reflection and personal growth, and at its core, my work revolves around the relentless pursuit of self-awareness.

My vision begins with a fundamental exploration of self. I use my own body as both canvas and medium, placing it within different contexts to push the boundaries of my physical and mental capabilities. Through this process, I continually question my existence, drawing closer to the natural state of "being."

I work with elemental materials, drawing from both human experience and the natural world. By combining these basic elements, I create something new, symbolizing the interconnectedness of humanity and the perpetual evolution of life. I employ the body as a basic form, placing it in a different context to continually question the essence of the woman's instinctive nature. My work is characterized by the use of a natural color palette and the integration of basic materials that are part of the woman and her nature.

Personal self-awareness took a profound turn when I recognized the negative impact of my compulsive thoughts and actions. This realization prompted a transformative process guided by self-observation, self-reflection, and self-analysis. I gradually let go of the importance I had attached to my physical form and relinquished control to the unpredictability of nature. My dissociative relationship with my body and mind led to a realization: the pursuit of an unattainable form and the simple act of "being" without constraints. I consciously chose to liberate myself from overwhelming insecurities, bidding farewell to self-destructive thought patterns. After years of self-exploration, I found healing and returned to the wisdom of nature, aligning with the natural cycles of womanhood.

I delve into the intricate web of intergenerational trauma, exploring the deep pain and complex dynamics within three generations of women. And I focus on symbiotic mother-daughter relationships and the legacy of the beauty within. My mission is to capture this complexity of love and pain, and make this subject understandeble for others.

My art projects extend beyond personal reflection, offering an opportunity to capture the complex legacy of family trauma. They invite understanding and healing, not just for me but for all women caught in the cycle of generational sorrow and fear. Through my lens, I demonstrate the power of acknowledging and transforming these traumas.

I pay tribute to the strength and resilience of women in my life and to all women navigating similar challenges. I hope it inspires others to embrace and share their stories and paves the way for future generations. Uncover the beauty in self-discovery, empowerment, and transcending generational pain, celebrating the wisdom and resilience of women across time.
